Mesquite Trails Elementary School

Mesquite families: This school year, as a way to motivate our students to attend school every day, we will be having a special exclusive lunch at the end of May for all students who have perfect attendance for the entire year. Students will be treated to lunch with their principals. Also, every family who has a child with perfect attendance through the entire year will be placed in a drawing for a fabulous gift card. So, make sure that your child attends school every day.

Here are some of our SOARing eagles enjoying their reward of popsicles for having 8 days of perfect attendance already! Way to go, eagles!

Mesquite families: Here is what's going on next week. :)

Mesquite parents: Here is a short video and a flyer to explain the new drive-up pick-up procedures starting Monday. We're hoping this helps.

Helping Our Little Eagles Fly into the Classroom!

TK and Kindergarten families-

Morning drop-offs can be tough on parent hearts, but building a strong "goodbye routine" helps our students feel secure and ready to learn.

How to help at the gate:
Give a sweet hug and kiss.

Say your cheerful goodbye phrase ("Have a fun day!").

Walk away smoothly!

Lingering at the fence makes it harder for kids to let go and jump into playing. When you walk away with a smile, it shows them that school is a safe, happy place!

Thank you for helping our Eagles have the best start to every morning!

Mesquite families- Here are next week's upcoming events. :)

Recently, a mini meteorologist from Mrs. Moncada's class merrily gave a great morning weather report. What a great way to promote public speaking! Way to go Eagles!

Today, our fourth graders were treated to a music assembly by our fabulous music teacher, Mr. Moreno. Look how well-behaved our students are! Way to go Eagle students and staff.

Eagle families- Here is the latest Family SOARCE- week at-a-glance. Thank you for all for a wonderful first two days, for all of your donations, for your digital emergency cards being completed, and for bringing your students to Mesquite Trails.

Our Mesquite Eagles participated in the SOAR assembly today, where we reviewed behavior expectations, incentives, and talked about how to be safe, on-task, always respectful, and responsible. Looking forward to a great year at Mesquite!

REMINDER - State testing starts tomorrow for 3rd - 6th grade. We are excited to showcase what our students have learned throughout the course of the year. We ask that parents please to refrain from signing your child out between 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. as we are trying to minimize any distractions for our Eagles during their testing time. We also encourage our students to get a good night's rest and eat a healthy breakfast during the week. Have a SOARing Day!

Good Afternoon Eagle Familes. Just reminding you that our Career Day Interest Survey is closing at the end of the day today!
